Skill labs

One important area of medical and dentistry education in Pécs is the Simulation Education Centre. The skill lab is on the top floor of the Medical School in Szigeti street. It allows healthcare students of gradual and post-gradual courses to develop and practice their manual skills.

The Simulation Education Centre is currently undergoing a grandiose change, that will not only make it unique in the region, but it will also be able to host European and world level education of modern medical technologies.

It contains a simulation surgery, where real medical equipment can be used for demonstrations in education. 25 dentistry phantom lab workstations are also being constructed alongside with a lab using virtual and augmented reality (VR and AR) technologies to enable the highest level healthcare and medical education.

The rooms serving to teach communication skills in Simulation Education Centre are furnished to resemble consulting rooms or patient rooms. Areas belonging to operational medicine enable high level education of prehospital care. Moreover, the audiovisual system supporting education is also under development, helping not only recording and playing education materials, but also the development of digital education materials thereof.
