Campus Cooperationis

The University of Pécs Medical School and Minusplus architecture design office have created Campus Cooperationis in 2020: it is the study of the architectural future of the campus, which is not concrete plans, but a personalised arsenal of equipment, promoting conversation and decision-making in developments. The Campus Cooperationis is really the architectural vision of the Medical School, a part of PotePillars, the strategic plan of the faculty – it is also the most visionary and most exciting part of its future view. The first part showcases the changes in education, and international trends, and the second part is a glossary, listing activities and types of spaces connected to education; and the first part details the architectural vision.

As a continuation of Campus Cooperationis, Locus Cooperationis was created, which is the interior design and image handbook of the campus, sketching out the necessary equipment system for realising the unified interior design ideas. This work brings the vision outlined in the first volume even closer. The architects have developed multiple concepts to allow for more movement towards implementation. It contains the more obscure, preparatory interior design program thought process that is about the creation of various spaces an their connectivity options.

The University of Pécs Medical School is the first faculty in the country to start consciously thinking how education can change if they invest in their infrastructure for fifty years – and what needs architecture needs to satisfy in accordance. There is no other example for this today. The UP Medical School will be the first one to have a “professional knowledge industry enterprise” image, making its
own future image liveable.
